ECLL 8-10s defeat Avon 9s

Eagle Creek Little League's 8-10 all-stars moved on in the District 8 tournament with an 18-8 victory over the Avon 9s Thursday night at Zionsville.

ECLL won its opening game on Monday, edging the Danville 9s 24-23 in a marathon game, then lost to the Danville 10s 22-3 on Wednesday to drop into the losers bracket.

ECLL next faces Zionsville at 8:15 p.m. Friday on Zionsville's Field 2.
