ECLL advances in major baseball tournament

Eagle Creek Little League's all-stars defeated Washington Township 12-9 Wednesday in the District 8 major baseball tournament at Danville to advance in the losers bracket.

ECLL fell into the losers bracket with a 10-0 loss to Brownsburg on Saturday. The all-stars next play in the double-elimination tournament against host Danville at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday (July 9) at Ellis Park.

Elsewhere, Eagle Creek's Senior League baseball all-stars were declared District 8 champions when prospective opponents Brownsburg and Danville dropped out. ECLL advances to the state tournament in Portage on July 11-15.
